How I Fixed My Credit & Landed a Job in 7 Days

Just because you’re down doesn’t mean you’re out. When life knocked me down, I had two choices: stay there or get back up and make moves. I chose to make moves—and in just one week, I had a job, a car, and better credit. Here’s exactly how I did it.

1. Get Free Credit Counseling

The first step was fixing my credit because I knew that good credit opens doors. I found a free credit counselor through the Operation Hope, and they helped me come up with a game plan.

One of their top recommendations? Join a credit union that offers:

✔️ Secured credit cards
✔️ Credit builder loans

2. Join a Credit Union for Credit Repair

I signed up for Zing Credit Union and used my last paycheck from my security job (right after getting fired) to put $750 on a secured credit card. They also approved me for a rebuilder loan, which I HIGHLY recommend for anyone serious about improving their credit.

3. Find Quick Income (Even Without a Car)

I needed money ASAP, so I checked Uber—but I didn’t have a car. Luckily, Uber offers rental cars for drivers. For about $300 for 7 days, I was able to rent a car and start driving immediately.

💡 Pro Tip: Use your new secured credit card to pay for your rental and build credit while making money.

4. Results: 1 Week Later

✔️ I had a job driving for Uber.
✔️ I had a car (without the long-term commitment of buying one).
✔️ My credit was improving thanks to my secured card and credit builder loan.

If you’re serious about getting back on your feet, here’s where to start:
Get free credit counseling with the Operation Hope
Open an account with Zing Credit Union
Sign up for Uber & start driving today

Remember: Success isn’t about avoiding failure—it’s about how fast you bounce back.
